AIA

A certificate extension that points to resources about the issuing CA — typically a URL to download the issuer's certificate and, optionally, the address of an OCSP responder. Clients use the AIA URL to fetch missing intermediate certificates and build a complete chain, a process often called AIA chasing. Broken AIA URLs are a frequent cause of "unable to build chain" errors when servers send incomplete chains.
